The firm has been admitted to the International Accounting and Sustainability Disclosure Talent Network, maintained by the Financial Accounting Standards Foundation. Admission is open only to practitioners who can demonstrate a defined level of IFRS knowledge and practical experience.

A large audit firm clears the criteria without much difficulty. For a sole practice the bar is considerably higher: as at the 1 October list, 28 firms nationwide were registered.

For a company reporting to an overseas parent, this is the practical point: IFRS capability here is externally verified rather than self-asserted. We will continue to build on that practice.
